Deks DSC265–290 Shear Banded Coupling for 265–290mm OD Pipe
Overview
The DEKS DSC265–290 shear banded coupling is designed to connect or repair low-pressure pipelines such as sewer, stormwater, and wastewater systems, and is suitable for pipes with an outside diameter range of 265–290 mm. When compared with standard rubber pipe joiners, the shear banded coupling incorporates an additional reinforced stainless steel shear band positioned at the centre.
The DEKS shear banded coupling is made from flexible EPDM rubber and fitted with 316 grade stainless steel clamps, ensuring durability, elasticity, and stable long-term performance. The shear band helps protect the joint against corrosive environments, reduces the impact of shear forces caused by vibration, soil movement, or surface loading, and assists in maintaining consistent flow alignment inside the pipeline.
The DEKS shear banded coupling range is WSAA approved for use in Australia and can be used with compatible rubber bushes (sold separately) when connecting dissimilar pipe materials.
