Shear Banded Coupling
The shear banded coupling range is designed to connect or repair low-pressure pipelines such as sewer, stormwater, and wastewater systems, and is suitable for pipes with outside diameters ranging from 100 mm to 290 mm depending on the model. When compared with standard rubber pipe joiners, the shear banded coupling incorporates an additional reinforced stainless steel shear band positioned at the centre.
The shear banded coupling is made from flexible EPDM rubber and fitted with 316 grade stainless steel clamps, ensuring durability, elasticity, and stable long-term performance. The shear band helps protect the joint against corrosive environments, reduces the impact of shear forces caused by vibration, soil movement, or surface loading, and assists in maintaining consistent flow alignment inside the pipeline.
The shear banded coupling range can be used with compatible rubber bushes (sold separately) to accommodate dissimilar pipe materials.
Pipe Repair Clamp
The stainless steel repair clamp is an economical and efficient solution, suitable for water supply systems requiring a fast and reliable local repair method, minimising disruption when most of the pipeline remains in serviceable conditions.
Designed for the repair of cracked, damaged, split, or leaking water pipes, the range is available in 200 mm and 300 mm lengths and covers multiple pipe standards including DN100, DN150 (Series 1 and Series 2), DN200 Series 2, and DN225 (Series 1 and Series 2), with an outside diameter range from 114 mm to 290 mm.
The clamp hardware is made from 316 grade stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and stable performance under long-term harsh outdoor operating conditions. The inner gasket is made of potable drinking water grade nitrile rubber to provide a full 360° sealing around the damaged pipe section.
Gibaults
Stainless Steel Gibaults (or Gibault Joiners/Couplings) are versatile pipe fittings used to connect or repair pipelines made from the same or different materials such as PVC, ductile iron (DI), asbestos cement (AC), cast iron (CI), or steel. Their design incorporates an EPDM rubber gasket positioned inside a metal barrel and tightened by stainless steel bolts and nuts, ensuring a watertight joint that allows minor angular deflection in water supply, wastewater, irrigation, and industrial pipeline systems.
SS Gibaults provide an effective solution for both new installations and the repair of pressurised pipelines, particularly where welding or solvent cementing is not feasible. The 316 stainless steel barrel combined with the EPDM gasket delivers durability, corrosion resistance, and reliable sealing performance for pipeline systems with working pressures up to 16 bar / 150 psi.
Available in Long Barrel and Short Barrel configurations with size options from DN80 to DN450, DEKS Stainless Steel Gibaults support flexible installation requirements and maintain consistent performance across water infrastructure, irrigation, wastewater, and industrial applications.
